How we work
We don't start with software. We start with your business.
The first three steps happen before we recommend buying or building anything at all. That is deliberate — most expensive mistakes are made confidently, early, before anyone has looked at how the work is actually done.
The process
Seven steps, in order.
Each one has a defined output, so you always know what you are getting and when.
Understand
How does your business actually work?
We spend time on how the business runs before discussing technology at all. Who your customers are, how they reach you now, what happens after they do, and which parts of the day your team spends on work that feels repetitive.
You get: A shared, written description of how the business actually operates today.
Map
Where do customers come from, and where does the information go?
We draw the real picture: every place customers find you, every place an enquiry can arrive, every system that holds information, and every point where somebody is moving that information by hand.
You get: A map of your current digital business, including the gaps and the manual steps.
Decide
What actually needs improving first?
Not everything is worth fixing, and not everything is worth fixing now. We prioritise by what is costing you most, and we say clearly what we would leave alone. Sequence matters — some fixes make the next ones cheaper.
You get: A prioritised plan with a clear first phase, and a price.
Build
What is missing?
We build what needs building — the website, the booking flow, the listings, the software setup — while the business keeps running. Nothing goes live without a way back.
You get: The missing parts, working, in accounts owned by you.
Connect
Can these systems talk to each other?
We connect the systems where it is practical and worthwhile, so information moves without someone re-typing it. Where two systems genuinely cannot be connected, we say so rather than building something fragile.
You get: Information flowing between systems, with monitoring so failures are noticed.
Manage
Who keeps this working?
Digital systems decay if nobody tends them. Listings drift, integrations break, platforms change their rules. We keep the ecosystem working rather than handing over a project and disappearing.
You get: Ongoing management, with written documentation so you are never dependent on one person.
Improve
What does the data say to do next?
A monthly cycle: look at what actually happened, agree the two or three changes most worth making, make them, and measure whether they worked. Deliberately unglamorous, and where compounding comes from.
You get: A regular, prioritised list of improvements — and evidence of whether they worked.
What we look at
The six layers we map.
Most businesses are strong in two or three of these and have never looked at the rest. Select any layer to see what it covers.
Working with us
Some things we commit to.
You own everything
Every account — domain, hosting, analytics, Google Business Profile, database, software licences — is created in your name and stays there. Leaving us should be straightforward. That is what keeps us honest.
We will tell you not to buy things
If the thing you asked for is not worth doing yet, we say so, including when it costs us the work. That conversation is uncomfortable and it is the most useful thing we offer.
Written documentation, in plain language
So the system belongs to your business rather than to whoever set it up. If we became unavailable tomorrow, someone else could pick it up.
No lock-in by obscurity
We use boring, well-supported technology your team or another supplier can work with. Clever solutions only you can maintain are a liability, not an asset.
Tell us how your business works and what isn't working. We'll look at what you already have before we speak.
