SELL ON PLATFORMS
Be where customers already buy.
Get listed, verified and properly managed on the platforms your industry actually uses.
Stage 3 of six — Turn interest into business·Conversion
The problem
What usually goes wrong.
Every platform has its own forms, its own verification, its own content rules and its own way of deciding who appears first. Businesses either avoid them entirely and stay invisible where a lot of buying happens, or join a dozen and lose control of prices and availability.
Both are expensive. One in demand you never see. The other in commission, overbookings and a team spending its mornings updating the same information in six different dashboards.
What it costs the business
For a hotel, this is often the difference between rooms sold and rooms empty. For a retailer, it is the difference between being one of the options and not being an option at all.
Managed badly, it is worse than not being there: mismatched rates, a room sold twice, or a listing that ranks nowhere within the platform and simply absorbs your effort.
What we do
The actual work.
No vague retainers. Every engagement is a named list of things that get built, fixed or handed over.
Decide which platforms are worth it
Not all of them are. We look at your industry, your city and your margins, and tell you which ones deserve effort, in what order, and which ones are quietly not worth the commission.
Handle joining and verification
Applications, documentation, KYC and bank details, through to going live. This part is mostly patience and knowing what each platform is actually asking for.
Make the listing rank within the platform
Titles, descriptions, categories, photographs, amenities, policies and response times, tuned to how each platform decides ordering. Being listed and being visible are different things.
Control rates and availability from one place
A channel manager or equivalent so one update reaches every platform. This is what prevents selling the same room twice and stops rate mismatches.
Protect your direct channel
Platforms are for reach. We put a deliberate plan in place so a guest who came through a platform once has a reason to book with you directly next time.
What we don't do: We are not an authorised reseller or official partner of any booking platform or marketplace, and we do not claim influence over how they rank listings. We help you meet their requirements properly and manage them well.
How it connects
This is never a standalone project.
Platforms cannot be run separately from the rest of the business. Availability comes from the same system that runs your front desk or your stock. Reviews left on a platform feed the trust layer. And a customer who arrives through a platform should end up in the same customer records as everyone else, or you cannot bring them back.
For the technical buyer
Technical capabilities.
Simple does not mean shallow. If you already know what you need, this is what we actually work with.
- Platform and marketplace selection
- OTA onboarding for hospitality
- Marketplace onboarding for retail
- Listing and content optimisation
- Channel manager implementation
- Rate parity and inventory synchronisation
- Directory and aggregator listings
- Direct-channel strategy
Where this applies
How this changes by industry.
The same capability looks quite different depending on how the business runs.
Hotels & Resorts
Rooms are perishable and sold in several places at once, so availability has to be right everywhere at the same moment.
Retail & Ecommerce
One pool of stock is sold through several channels at once, so inventory accuracy is the whole game.
Restaurants & Cafés
Decisions are made in minutes, nearby, on a phone — and delivery platforms sit between you and the customer.
Real Estate
Very few, very high-value enquiries with long decision cycles — so lead response time is close to everything.
Questions
Common questions.
Will listing on booking platforms hurt our direct bookings?
Not if it is managed deliberately. Many guests discover a property on a platform and then look for the hotel directly — the industry calls this the billboard effect. The risk is not being listed, it is being listed with no plan to convert those guests into direct customers afterwards, and no rate discipline. We set both up alongside the listings.
How many platforms should we be on?
Fewer than most people expect, and chosen deliberately. Each one adds real management overhead. It is usually better to be excellent on the three that generate business in your category and city than mediocre on ten.
What is a channel manager, in plain language?
One screen that pushes your prices and availability to every platform at once. Without it, someone on your team updates each platform by hand, and the gap between those updates is where double bookings and wrong prices happen.
